Identify Standard 4 or Standard 4 X on the actual order before choosing accessories. Some mounts share a compatibility list, while a power accessory may name only one kit. Use this guide to make a shortlist, then match the exact product listing and installation instructions.
List the gap in your current setup
Write down whether you need a mounting location, a longer cable route, a documented power arrangement or better room coverage. Check the supplied equipment first. Use the parts-list worksheet to keep the exact model, measurements, instructions and total cost together.
Start with the mounting location

The Standard Wall Mount lists Standard 4, Standard 4 X and Enterprise Source Checked . Its overhang limit is 4 inches maximum Source Checked . Measure the location before ordering; the illustration does not establish that your roofline or wall is suitable.
For an existing pole, the Standard Pipe Adapter lists Standard 4, Standard 4 X and Enterprise Source Checked and requires Minimum 31 mm (1.25 in); maximum 63.5 mm (2.5 in) in prose, 63 mm in the dimension callout — upper limit disputed; metal pipe only, not PVC/plastic. Source Checked . For a roof ridge, note the separate mount limits: Metal and shingled roofs with slopes less than 45 degrees; not recommended for clay tile roofs; wind rating up to 80 kph (50 mph) Source Checked . A terminal’s wind rating must not replace its mount’s installation limits.
Pipe-fit detail to resolve: Standard guide prose states maximum diameter 63.5 mm (2.5 in); the dimension callout shows 31–63 mm. Confirm the exact adapter’s fit before relying on a boundary measurement. This discrepancy remains unresolved; no fit or safety guarantee at the disputed upper limit.
Keep Standard 4 X power accessories separate

The DC-DC Power Supply’s named compatibility is Compatibility: Starlink Standard 4 X only Source Checked . The package contains Kit contents: Standard DC-DC Power Supply, 1 m DC Power Cable Source Checked . The Power Supply Mount has its own list: Compatibility: Standard 4 X Power Supply; Standard 4 X DC-DC Power Supply Source Checked .
These entries do not verify an alternative power arrangement for every Standard kit. Before using a battery installation, obtain the exact supply’s electrical requirements and wiring instructions. Dishwits has not measured efficiency or runtime.
Choose cable length from the route

Swipe or scroll sideways to see the full table. With a keyboard, focus the table area and use the arrow keys.
| Option | Length | Listed kits |
|---|---|---|
| 15 m Starlink cable (V5 guide listing) | 15 m (49.2 ft) Source 1, Source 2 Checked | V5, Standard 4 and Standard 4 X Source Checked |
| Longer replacement in the Standard guide | 45 m (147.6 ft) Source Checked | Compatibility: Starlink Standard 4; Starlink Standard 4 X Source Checked |
Plan the complete cable route, including corners and entry points, before choosing a length. Do not treat a replacement cable listing as permission to join cables together. Similar connector shapes do not establish equivalent weather sealing or compatibility.
Check Wi-Fi before adding another router

Router Mini is a network accessory, distinct from the Mini satellite terminal. Its documented mesh partners are Mesh-compatible with Starlink Gen 2 router, Starlink Router 3 / Gen 3 router, Starlink Router Mini, and Starlink Mini Kit Source 1, Source 2, Source 3 Checked ; the mesh exclusions are Not compatible to mesh with Starlink Gen 1 routers or 3rd party mesh systems Source 1, Source 2, Source 3 Checked . For a wired link to another Starlink router: V5 guide: shielded RJ45 cable rated Cat5e or higher; Standard and Mini guides: RJ45 Cat5e or greater (shielded not required in those guides’ wording) Source 1, Source 2, Source 3 Checked . In short, the V5 guide specifies a shielded RJ45 cable rated Cat5e or greater; the Standard and Mini guides say Cat5e or greater.
First identify the router already supplied with your kit and test coverage where you need it. Adding a mesh unit cannot resolve an obstructed view of the sky. Compare the Standard 4 kit and Standard 4 X kit before buying duplicate equipment.
Buying and installation limits
Hold off if the seller cannot identify the exact model, your mounting measurements are incomplete, or the proposed power arrangement lacks instructions. Vehicle mounting also requires checking the service plan and permitted use; an accessory purchase does not establish those permissions. See home, RV and travel use and installation planning.
